VACAVILLE — The National Committee for Quality Assurance ranked Kaiser Permanente Northern California’s commercial health plan the best in the state and seventh-best in the nation among 480 health plans.
In addition, Kaiser Permanente Northern California ranked second in the nation among more than 400 Medicare plans surveyed, a Kaiser press release said.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1990. It scores health plans on dozens of measures, among them preventive medicine, reproductive health, mental and behavioral health, management of chronic conditions and cancer screening.
Kaiser Permanente in Solano County runs hospitals in Vacaville and Vallejo.
