Jobs fair on calendar in early April

FAIRFIELD — The Workforce Investment Board of Solano County will try to make a dent in the county’s 7.9 percent unemployment rate.

It will host a regional career fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 3 at the University of Phoenix, 5253 Business Center Drive. More than 85 employers are expected to attend to offer jobs. They range from Pacific Gas & Electric Co. to Walmart to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to Travis Air Force Base, with the list subject to change.
