FAIRFIELD — Travis Credit Union announced it has Federal Home Loan Bank grant funds to disperse to low- and moderate-income homebuyers within its 12-county service area.
Eligible first-time homebuyers may apply for up to $15,000 in matching grant funds to be used for the down payment and closing costs. The program is designed to help working households in high-cost areas purchase homes.
“Because we are a member of the Federal Home Loan Bank, we can provide the community with access to funds that can take their standard of living to the next level,” Patsy Van Ouwerkerk, chief executive officer of Travis Credit Union, said in a press release. “This partnership allows us to build an even stronger community and we are committed to doing just that.”
