Fairfield wins award

By From page A5 | March 10, 2014

FAIRFIELD — Fairfield and developer Buzz Oates recently won an award of merit from the California Association of Local Economic Development for the Solano Logistics Center project.

The city sold 43 acres on Cordelia Road to Buzz Oates in 2012. Buzz Oates is building three warehouses. It has leased one to Encore Glass and will lease the other two to Saxco International. That will create 250 local jobs, a Fairfield press release said.

Fairfield will be recognized April 9 at the California Association of Local Economic Development’s Celebrating Success Luncheon.
