Emeritus delivers care packages

Emeritus at Rancho Solano is delivering care packages to local senior veterans or their surviving spouses this Memorial Day weekend.

The “Heroes Emeritus” program is part of a national effort by Emeritus Senior Living to deliver 2,000 care packages. Packages include night lights, first aid kits, medication management containers, water bottles and healthy snacks. In addition, the Emeritus team performs a home safety check.

“Our veterans and their spouses who provided support on the homefront have done so much to keep our nation safe; we need to honor them whenever possible. The sacrifices they made in order to maintain the freedoms we all enjoy can never be forgotten”, said Bill Keck, senior executive director of Emeritus at Rancho Solano, in a press release. “This is just one small way to help keep these heroes safe through their senior years.”
