County OKs car rental business at Nut Tree Airport

By From page B4 | February 25, 2013

Hertz rent-a-cars are coming to the county-owned Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville.

The county Board of Supervisors on Tuesday voted to rent a portion of office space in a hangar to the Hertz Corp. The three-year contract is to bring in $13,200 the initial year, with a 5 percent annual increase.

Hertz will open a car rental operation to serve the airport and Vacaville, a county report said. It will use up to 10 spaces of the airport’s 86-space parking lot to store rental vehicles.
