BENICIA — The Benicia CleanTech Expo will feature electric cars, bicycles and other enterprises that reduce energy and water use and pollution.
It will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. Oct. 18 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 19. The location is the Benicia clock tower, 1189 Washington St.
Benicia CleanTech Expo bills itself as Solano County’s only exposition covering clean energy. Organizers urge anyone interested in the clean technology economy to attend.
Three electric car dealers will have demonstration cars for test rides, an event press release said. Chevrolet will feature the Volt, Nissan will feature the Leaf and Toyota will feature the Prius Plug-In. One conventional and four electric bicycle dealers will also offer test rides: California e-bikes, E-Bike Solutions, New Wheel, Yuba Bikes and Wheels in Motion.
Workshop include such topics as trends in clean transportation and sustainable communities.
