Business workshop set Friday

FAIRFIELD — Getting Publicity for Your Business is the title of an upcoming workshop by the Solano College Small Business Development Center.

Local business owner and public relations consultant Deloris Roach will teach the workshop. It will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at 360 Campus Lane, Suite 102.

Subjects covered will include developing story ideas, knowing the difference between public relations and marketing and the role both play in attracting and keeping customers, using Internet media, writing a good press release and developing a public relations plan.

The preregistration deadline is Wednesday, though walk-in registrations will be accepted. Go to www.solanosbdc.org or call 864-3382 to register.
