By From page A3 | March 14, 2014

FAIRFIELD — A workshop to help businesses apply for the new California Competes tax credit will take place Thursday and will be co-hosted by state Assemblyman Jim Frazier.

The event is from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Fairfield-Suisun School District board room, 2490 Hilborn Road, No. 108. The workshop is in partnership with Solano Economic Development Corp. and the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development.

The California Competes Program provides upward of $180 million in tax credits over the next two years for businesses that want to expand or relocate to California, Frazier said in a press release. He encouraged representatives of small, medium and large businesses to attend the workshop to receive instruction on how to apply for this new tax credit program.

Admission to the Thursday event is free, but space is limited. RSVP to [email protected] or call 399-3011.
