FAIRFIELD — A two-alarm fire on the 200 block of East Tennessee Street has reportedly left two firefighters with minor injuries and required aid from the Suisun Fire Protection District.

The fire was reported at 12:27 p.m. It is believed to have started in a back bedroom.

There were still flames in the attic as of 1:05 p.m. At one point, flames shot 10 feet in the air, above the roof as strong winds fanned the flames.

Firefighters cut into the roof to douse the flames. Some neighbors were evacuated.

The street is blocked off at North Texas Street.

Any one who really want my family (I am the second eldest son of the family in that house) to help out (even if its just a few dollars) feel free to drop a dollar or two, I normally wouldn't do this but given the nature of the disaster and with Christmas coming up I am sure they'd love it.
