Fairfield High wrestler David Yi tries to turn Vacaville's Sean Kalub in their 112-pound bout during a Monticello Empire League dual match at Vacaville, Jan. 10, 1994. Yi won the match 11-0 as the Falcons went on to win 34-24, snapping the Bulldogs' 61-match MEL winning streak. Fairfield went unbeaten in MEL duals and later won the league tournament making 1993-94 the only season in the MEL's 37-year history in which Vacaville did not win at least a piece of the league title.
