Art of Community opens Jan. 17

BENICIA — Arts Benicia is beginning the year with its Art of Community exhibit, an annual showcase for 19 years. This year more than 100 artists from Arts Benicia will participate.

The exhibit opens Jan. 17. A reception is planned 7 to 9 p.m. Jan. 19. Admission is free.

On Feb. 10 from 1 to 3 p.m., the exhibit will host a Family Art Day.

Both events are at 991 Tyler St., No. 114 in Benicia’s arsenal district.

The gallery is open from 12 to 5 Thursday through Sunday.
