FAIRFIELD — Golden 1 Credit Union is in the midst of its annual canned food drive.

Members and the public can use bins at local branches to drop off nonperishable food items and such items as diapers and baby formula for needy families.

“This year, the need is great and Golden 1 is proud to assist our community by coordinating food bank donations throughout the region,” credit union Chief Executive Officer Donna Bland said in a press release. “Everyone should have the opportunity for a warm and hearty meal during the holidays.”

Local branches are at 1380 Holiday Lane in Fairfield, 196 Nut Tree Parkway in Vacaville and 768 Admiral Callaghan Lane in Vallejo.
