Supervisors OK EIR for Middle Green Valley plan

FAIRFIELD — Solano County supervisors cleared the way for a plan that would put 400 homes in Middle Green Valley while also preserving 1,490 acres of land for agriculture and open space.

In prior years, such an idea would have spurred heated debate during this afternoon’s public hearing, but that did not happen. Nearly all of the speakers, whether they were Green Valley homeowners or landowners who had been at odds in the past, lauded what is called the Middle Green Valley Specific Plan.

The supervisors did not say much themselves when they voted 4-0 to pass the plan’s environmental impact report.
