price column sig

I was asked to participate in an online debate concerning a recent survey that revealed that more teens are smoking marijuana as opposed to drinking alcohol or doing other more dangerous drugs such as cocaine. The question that I was asked to respond to was: Should we be optimistic about the recent revelation that more [...]

Cheers, jeers for the week of Dec. 18-24, 2011

Cheers to the Salvation Army, whose volunteers handed out food and toys Thursday to hundreds of families in Fairfield. The Salvation Army provided the turkeys and food through its fundraising, while Toys 4 Tots and CHiPs for Kids toy drives accounted for many of the toys. Cheers to those efforts as well. o'reilly column sig

Not sure what to do about the scary dog next door

Q: We live in Fairfield and read your column faithfully. My neighbor’s pit bull is very vicious. Whenever anyone is in our backyard, the dog barks and growls and tries to get over or tear through the fence. The neighbor has added a 2-foot wooden extension to the already 6-foot wooden fence after the dog actually made [...]
